Join us for Virtual Super Saturdays!
Dates: February 6, 13, & 20
Place: Online
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CT
Cost: $80 (Financial Assistance Available)

No matter where you live, Super Saturdays is available to you as it is offered online. We have 9 classes for students in grades 1-6 that give high-interest young people the ability to explore minds-on, hands-on classes in art, math, science, and so much more!

Each class is taught by an experienced teacher via Zoom. Students register for a class and connect with other like-minded kids all three Saturdays. Classes are fun, fast-paced, and filled with learning opportunities. A full list of classes can be viewed at https://www.wku.edu/gifted/super_saturdays/.

Parents of Winter Super Saturdays participants can also attend a special seminar, “Mental Health Experts Discuss the Social-Emotional Needs of Gifted Learners,” free of charge. Children and young people with gifts and talents have unique social and emotional needs. Toss in a pandemic and virtual learning, and those needs are heightened. What can parents and families do to help their children? Join a school psychologist and a counselor at a residential STEM school as they explore the real world social-emotional issues of gifted and talented children and youth of 2021.

Bridges Academy Town Hall Meeting

We'll be having a zoom town hall meeting that will allow Bridges Academy to share with you about their education model and plans for the Seattle/Eastside area and also allow parents to ask all the questions they may have and express their interest. Please see below for details and the online sign up sheet! Please let me know if you have any questions prior to the meeting. -Alisha Wilt

SENGinars

SENG webinars (SENGinars) provide convenient access to many of the top experts in the gifted field discussing issues related to the social and emotional needs of the gifted. The 90-minute webinars are designed expressly for parents, educators and mental health professionals who work with gifted children. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each live webinar. For more information, go to the SENG website.

Know about an upcoming event that focuses on the gifted and 2e community? We're happy to list community events on this page and on our Facebook. Note that we usually do not list general parenting events unless they have themes that are particularly relevant to the gifted community. Email us at info@nwgca.org
